We feel loneliness, regardless of whether we are physically alone or not. We are alone on the condition that we are not with anyone.

If one is alone, they might not necessarily be lonely, but are rather enjoying their own company. If one is lonely, however, they might be feeling left out and abandoned.

Loneliness is a sadness in the heart that encapsulates a person and leaves them with a terrible empty hole in their heart, covered by a dark veil for no one to see. This empty hole can only be carried and covered when a person has processed their thoughts and feelings to the point that the dark veil over is removed, and in its place comes a feeling of fulfillment, joy, and sufficiency.

What can be a sense of fulfillment for the lonely?

A person? A place? An item? A habit?

All these can bring a sense of fulfillment. It all starts with belonging. If something has a vibe and a culture that goes well with yours, if it’s open and welcoming, instantly, it becomes a place of belonging.

The lonely needs to feel encouraged and fulfilled to the point that they don’t need to prove themselves except by being themselves.
