Salvaged is a story told through poems, prose, and writings by young Emirati writer, Omar Al Owais. He takes us through this journey of happiness, pain, and agony with his beautiful expressions and metaphors.

Through reading this book, you will get to feel the writer's strength and power in his expression. You will feel through the writer's expressions of his emotions. You will feel a man who is filled with self-love and hope. There's a lot of struggle, sorrow, vulnerability, and pain. He's not afraid to show vulnerability. There is also courage, resilience, growth, and healing. You get to feel that despite the writer's struggles, the betrayal he went through, the lies he was told, the abandonment and agony, he still saw in himself something better and a potential to be better. Omar is escaping a life of mental toxicity, trying to find himself, to surrender himself, and live a life of calm surrender. We see his journey of healing and growth in his writings.

Omar Al Owais has a chosen a mode of expression that is very strong and impactful in itself, which is poetry. He added onto that mode his personality and with it, beautiful words were able to form and come together creating metaphors turning them into rhythmic writings in order to tell a story. Such a way of expression is lost with a lot of the new generation of so-called poets, especially following the book Honey & Milk by Rupi Kaur, from which "minimalistic poetry" has become a popular mode. Omar's poetry is a breath of fresh air and it gives you the sense of connection, closeness, and relatability. Not only do you feel his poetry, but you also feel his feelings and emotions due to their strong description.
